Depending on your device settings, the App may request the following permissions:

  • Storage: To download/cache PYQs, mock test PDFs, or save certificates offline.
  • Notifications: To send exam alerts, result reminders, and offer updates.
  • Network State: To optimize performance based on connectivity.

We do not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or SMS unless a specific feature (e.g., referral-via-contacts or OTP auto-read) explicitly requires it, and such access will always be optional and clearly disclosed at the point of use.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  1. Create and manage your user account;
  2. Deliver purchased content (PYQs, mock tests, test series);
  3. Process payments and send transactional receipts;
  4. Personalize your content feed and recommend relevant tests;
  5. Operate the Refer & Earn program and detect referral fraud;
  6. Send important service updates, exam alerts, and (with consent) promotional communication;
  7. Monitor, analyze, and improve App performance and user experience;
  8. Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity;
  9. Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.


3. Data Encryption & Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is secured using TLS/SSL (HTTPS) encryption.
  • Encryption at Rest: Sensitive data, including payment-related tokens and personal identifiers, is stored using encrypted databases.
  • Access Controls: Role-based access restrictions ensure only authorized personnel can access user data.
  • No Storage of Full Card Details: We do not store your complete debit/credit card numbers, CVV, or banking passwords on our servers — these are handled exclusively by PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway partners.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.


4. Third-Party SDKs & Service Providers

Practice Dost integrates with the following categories of trusted third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

4.1 Payment Gateways

We use third-party payment processors (e.g., Razorpay / Cashfree / PhonePe / Google Play Billing[Insert actual gateway(s) used]) to process transactions securely. These providers may collect payment information directly and are independently PCI-DSS compliant.

4.2 Analytics & Performance

We may use tools such as Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, or similar SDKs to understand app usage patterns and diagnose crashes.

If the App displays advertisements, we may use ad-network SDKs (e.g., Google AdMob) which may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) for ad personalization, subject to your device-level ad preference settings.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain data for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. 8. Account & Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by:

  1. Using the "Delete Account" option within the App's Settings menu (if available); or

9. Children's Privacy

Practice Dost is intended for users preparing for competitive government examinations, generally aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us personal data without parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information.
